Participants will be spaced 10' apart while waiting in the start line chute for their turn to be set loose to tackle the course! Start times will be determined by predicted finishing times with faster runners first and so on to limit the amount of passing necessary on the course. *Wave Starts - Participants will be sent out on the course in small batches, normally 10 runners (1 at a time) every 2 minutes. No need for interaction with a volunteer to get checked in *Touchless Packet Pickup - Your bibs, pins, and other necessary items needed to start the race will be organized in an open area for you to pick up on your own on race morning. To encourage our runners to support downtown restaurants, we will be giving each participant a "Beer/Soda Voucher" that you will be able to use at one of our downtown restaurant partners (So far The Spoon, Salsaroja Bar & Grill, and Flamingo Jacks are confirmed.more to come) like cash to get a FREE fill up in your brand new custom pint glass! While you are there, belly up to a table and enjoy one of their lunch specials and help Downtown Wooster by dining local! In this world of COVID, jamming 100+ runners into a downtown establishment is not responsible and does not really help our neighbors conduct their business in compliance with the local ordinance. Adds to the excitement and challenge of the prediction run!īack by popular demand.we will have our "hydration" station out on the course! :) You are to obey all rules of the road even if this means stopping for traffic in the middle of your race. We will do our best to help runners cross traffic as safely as possible, but traffic will remain open for the race. All we can tell you is that it is certified with BPS (Brian Polen Satellites) and will NOT be closed. That's the beauty of a prediction run, you don't know the course that way you cannot go out and practice and have an unfair advantage. The top three runners closest to their predicted times will win awesome prizes from Vertical Runner! We will also have some bonus categories including best costume, most spirited (during the run, not at the bar!), and a special on-course challenge as well! and in the end, the runners closest to their predicted times will take home the prizes! On race day, you run the course without the aid of your GPS, watch, ipod, etc.

During registration, you tell us how long you think it is going to take you to run the 3.1 mile course. You can register on race day for $25 donation.

This won't be your standard pint class either, it will be a unique design so that those who join us year after year can start adding to their collection! Patrick's Day themed race where you will find Leprechauns along the route, all participants are encouraged to wear green or dress up in a St. As a result, we give out a $1000 scholarship to a local senior on behalf of the club! Each year, we want this race to be about more than just raising money for the fund and running a 5k, we want it to be a great afternoon of running club camaraderie! In the spirit of the season, we will make this a St. Each Year The Wooster Running Club puts on an inexpensive and fun 5k prediction run at the store with all proceeds going to our Wooster Running Club Scholarship fund.
